President-elect Brings Valuable Experience to IEST
Jan Eudy Assumes Leadership Role on Executive Board
The Institute of Environmental
Sciences and Technology
(IEST) has named Cintas
Corporation's Jan Eudy
their new President-elect
through 2004. An IEST
member since 1996,
Eudy will be replacing
Robert Anderson as
the organization's
second highest ranking
leader.
"I look forward to
helping the Executive
Board position IEST
as the primary source
for recommended practices
and standards," said
Eudy. "The organization
is gaining the momentum
necessary to become
the preferred, internationally
recognized source for
contamination standards," she
said.
Mrs. Eudy will hold
her position as president-elect
through 2004, chairing
the ESTECH 2004 Exposition
and assisting the current
president, Robert Anderson.
Later in 2004, Eudy
will assume Anderson's
position as president
through 2005. Her short
and long-term goals
are strong fiscal management
and international recognition
for the organization.
Among her many accomplishments,
Eudy has been an active,
voting member of IEST
working groups RP-3,
22, 23, and 32. In
addition, as Technical
Vice President of the
Contamination Control
Division from 2001-2003,
she was responsible
for reviewing and approving
RP-18, 28, 22, 4, and
5. Eudy will receive
the Monroe Seligman
award this May at the
ESTECH 2003 Exposition
in Phoenix. The award
is for exceptional
leadership resulting
in the publication
of significant recommended
standards.
As the Corporate Quality
Assurance Manager for
the Cincinnati-based,
Cintas Cleanroom Resources
Division, Eudy oversees
research and development,
directs the quality
system and ISO registration
process, and supports
the company's validation
and sterile services
business component.
She has been with Cintas
for almost seven years,
and has been in the
contamination control
industry for 15 years.
Eudy earned her undergraduate
degree in Medical Technology
from the University
of Wisconsin and completed
her graduate studies
in Medical Microbiology
at Creighton University.
She is a registered
medical technologist
and specialist in microbiology
with ASCP, a registered
microbiologist with
NRM in consumer product
testing and quality
assurance, and an ISO
9000 lead assessor
and certified quality
auditor with ASQ. An
avid traveler and sailor,
Eudy lives with her
husband and has three
grown children and
two grand children.
