Cintas Ranked Among British Columbia's Best Employers
Fourth Consecutive Year Company Earns Spot On BC Business Magazine's "Best List"
CINCINNATI, December 13, 2006 – Cintas
Corporation (Nasdaq: CTAS) has been listed among
British Columbia’s best employers in the
December edition of BC Business Magazine. In
a study designed to identify the province’s
25 best companies to work for, BC Business commissioned
Watson Wyatt Worldwide to survey employees and
managers from leading companies across British
Columbia. The results mark the fourth consecutive
year Cintas has been recognized on the list.
“Being an Employer of Choice has always
been our goal at Cintas,” said Kevin McCrum,
Cintas’ BC General Manager. “We’re
located in the hottest job market in Canada,
and our long-term commitment to our employee-partners
has allowed us to attract the best available
candidates to join our growing team. We believe
our spirit - combined with our corporate culture
- is the secret to our success,” he said.
To create the list, Watson Wyatt measured employee
responses to lead indicators of “productive
engagement,” the factors that influence
employee commitment and participation in the
corporate vision . (1) Alignment – the
extent to which employees know what to do, (2)
Capability – the extent to which employees
know how to do it, (3) Resources, the extent
to which employees have the tools to do it, and
(4) Motivation – the extent to which employees
want to do it – contributed to the company’s
overall high ranking.
Cintas employs 160 people in British Columbia,
and the company employs approximately 32,000
at 350 facilities across North America.
In addition to BC Business Magazine, Report
on Business Magazine named Cintas the number
one employer in Canada for 2006, and Fortune
Magazine listed Cintas among America’s “Most
Admired Companies” for the sixth consecutive
year in 2006.
